Introduction
ShareSpeak is an AI-powered teleprompter application for macOS and Windows. We take your privacy seriously and believe in minimal data collection. We do not personally store your data on our servers.
Information We Collect
Payment Information
When you purchase ShareSpeak, payment processing is handled by Stripe. The only personal data we have access to is your email address if it was provided during the Stripe checkout process. We do not store credit card information or other payment details.
License Management
We use Keygen.sh for license key management and distribution. Keygen.sh handles license validation and activation. Please refer to Keygen's Privacy Policy for information about how they handle licensing data.
Speech Recognition
ShareSpeak uses Google Speech Recognition API for voice-to-text functionality. You create and manage your own Google API key for your account, giving you direct control over your speech data. We do not store, process, or have access to your speech recordings or transcriptions. All speech processing occurs directly between your device and Google's services using your personal API key.
Analytics Data
We use Umami Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics platform, to understand how users interact with our website. Umami collects anonymized usage data including:
- Page views and navigation patterns
- Device type and operating system
- General geographic location (country/region level)
- Referral sources
Umami does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. All data is aggregated and anonymized.
How We Use Your Information
The minimal data we have access to is used only for:
- Sending purchase confirmations and license keys (via email if provided)
- Providing customer support when requested
- Improving our website and application based on anonymized analytics
We do not use your email for marketing purposes unless you explicitly opt in.
Data Storage and Protection
Your scripts, content, and settings are stored entirely on your local device.We do not have access to, store, or process any of your content on our servers. Everything remains private on your machine.
Your Google API key (if configured) is stored locally on your device with industry-standard encryption. We never have access to your API credentials.
All connections to our services use secure HTTPS encryption.

ShareSpeak integrates with the following third-party services:

- Google Speech Recognition API: Voice-to-text functionality using your own API key. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Umami Analytics: Privacy-focused, anonymized website analytics.
Data Retention
Since we do not store personal data on our servers, there is minimal data to retain. Email addresses obtained from Stripe are kept only for the purpose of sending purchase receipts and support communications.
License information is managed by Keygen.sh according to their retention policies. Anonymized analytics data is retained for up to 24 months to help us improve the application.
Your Rights
Since we store minimal personal data, you maintain full control over your information:
- Your content and settings are stored locally on your device - you have complete control
- You can request deletion of your email from our records by contacting support
- You can manage your license through Keygen.sh
- Analytics tracking can be blocked using standard browser or application settings
Do Not Track
Our analytics platform (Umami) does not track users across websites or collect personally identifiable information, making traditional "Do Not Track" signals unnecessary. However, you can disable analytics entirely in the application settings.
Children's Privacy
ShareSpeak is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of ShareSpeak after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
